Happy 4th (MONTH) bday to Johnny!

Blue eyed boy? We think so!

In his monkey towel after a much enjoyed bath! He loves it!

Johnny's enjoying his toys (and in this picture, his jumperoo) more and more everyday. At four months old he is really grabbing things and putting them in his mouth, sitting up supported and smiling like crazy. We've even gotten a few laughs out loud from him and can't wait to hear more! If you try to leave the room he follows you now and is living up to being a true baby by never wanting to be put down. He is desiring more and more interaction and we can tell he actually gets bored now if you don't play with him! Although overall a great baby, Johnny has decided to stop taking naps (that was my favorite time of day!) and loves his little 30 min power naps throughout the day. He weighs over 16lbs now and is in about the 75th percentile for height and weight. He's our little linebacker!

Mother's Day

My first Mother's day was such an awe inspiring day. It was emotional thinking about how fast Johnny is growing and realizing that this was the first of many Mother's days to come that I'll get to share with him! He's such a wonderful baby and John and I have been blessed in so many ways with him. He has truly deepened our love for each other and helped us to slow down and enjoy the small things in life. Our unconditional love for our son is so beautiful and nothing that is explainable until you experience it yourself. I can't wait for John to share his first Father's day with his son.

Easter cont'd. . .

This Easter picture got left out some how and I love it. I almost missed the fact that I was holding the baby the first time I saw it. look close he's there!! :)

Etsy Site

Wall hanging Family Tree
Page out of a baby girl scrapbook I made
I want to start an Etsy site (yes Meg I've been thinking about doing it for a while) and I need help thinking of a clever and easy to remember site title. It will be the main page for my site (ie name. etsy.com) I want to think of something cute so if anyone can think of anything that has to do with scrapbooking or crafty stuff let me know!

Big Boy!!

Tonight we put Johnny in his Bumbo seat and he LOVED it! We put a toy on his tray and he was reaching for it and actually putting it in his mouth. It was amazing to see and it blew our minds how fast he's growing up and all the new things he's doing.

Hanging with friends

This is Johnny and his little "practice baby." We used "practice baby" to learn how to use the car seat and all the other baby contraptions before we had johnny.

More crafty creations

I've been meaning to post this picture of my masterpiece diaper cake that I made for my cousin and his girlfriend. They are expecting a baby girl (Hayden Riley Nicholas) in June and I made this "cake" for their baby shower. I didn't want to give it away and Jillian didn't want to take it apart! It included 100 Newborn diapers and two baby bottles.

Bachelorette book

My friend Ashley is getting married in August and I'm sad to say I can't make it to her bachelorette party in July. So to begin the process of making it up to her I made this mini book for her to add her own photos from the weekend. I made it in pink, black and white (the colors of her wedding). I gave Ashley the book today at lunch and I'm really glad she liked it! I've been dying to post the post the pictures I took of the book, but alas had to wait until I actually gave it to Ashley because I know she stalks my blog!! :) j/k Ash.

life changing

Ah how life has changed but what a wonderful way to go. This is my friend Leslee and her pregant belly and baby Jenna. Johnny and Jenna are only 3 weeks apart and it was so fun to be pregnant with Leslee. We are having a blast with our little ones now and it's nice to have someone to compare stories with.

Our handsome little man has captured our hearts and enriched our lives. He is a pure joy to be around and an inspiration for us to be better people everyday.

We do this every month!

Happy birthday to me!

Yesterday was my 26th Birthday and I had a great day! I spent the day being lazy and relaxing at home with my two boys. It was perfect. For dinner John and I went out to Sushi with some friends. There were 9 of us and everyone seemed to get along and have a great time. Thanks to everyone for sharing my special day with me and thanks Ash for all the great pictures!

Play Time

We just put together Johnny's rain forest "jumperoo" and he actually really likes it! We didn't know if he'd be able to hold his head up well enough to be in it yet, but he can. Although his feet don't quite touch the floor, he still really seemed to get a kick out of it. He'll be jumpin in that thing before we know it!

He also is getting more patient with us and his "Tummy Time." He doesn't always put up with it, but is tolerant most of the time.

Johnny loves to read and is getting more and more excited about his toys everyday! He's sitting up better (with help of course) and is getting so strong!
